With its first sustainability report – in accordance with the requirements of the Hamburger Corporate Governance Kodex – Hamburg investment and Förderbank (IFB Hamburg) can underline its important role as municipal company in the social, ecological and economic development of the Hanseatic city. Hamburg's central funding institute reports according to the criteria of the DNK (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitskodex) and on the basis of an analysis of the UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDG’s) influencing factors. On the way to this first report, we initially supported IFB Hamburg with cross-company interviews and the stakeholder definition. After a supplementary white field analysis, we worked together to develop the material topics, define the sustainability strategy and establish a concept for the bank's sustainability work. The DNK report produced during this process was submitted to the DNK Office and a separate presentation of the SDG analysis was prepared for the Supervisory Board.

The comprehensive sustainability report of IFB Hamburg was designed with a clear structure that makes navigation on the various relevant sustainability topics easy and attractive. Based on IFB's corporate design, the report clearly highlights the material topics and provides a good stage for the forward-looking projects that IFB supports as the core of its service.
